This is my favourite edition of The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Frodo and Gandalf's stare down as to see which one will burst into laughter first will always have me smiling. 3.

So much peace and happiness in one scene

How is it possible for one song to bring back so many memories? It's been so long since I've seen any of the films. They're probably the most memorable and frankly amazing films I have ever watched and ever expect to. When i was kid i never understand the end, now everything makes sense, some tears were here too, its a bit sad, but happy at the same time... farewell, Frodo Baggins. J.R.R Tolkien truly appreciated real Fellowship. He had deep bonds with three beloved friends at school. However, in WWI two died, one was mentally incapacitated & he himself was in a unconcious state for weeks. Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship… This goal excelleth every other goal, and this aspiration is the monarch of all aspirations. Watching this puts me in a time machine, that opening has such great peace to it. I love that legolas got the job cause he got a kick ass letter of rec from aragorn. 14:35 that skit 🤣. I want to run through an Irish field wearing a milkmaid dress to this song.

Well, as a Tolkien fan, I can't have a fair opinion so I will say that this is one of my best movies (along with "2001, a space odyssee. Amelie Poullain. Princess Mononoke. br> Middle Earth is incredible (The Shire, Fondcombe, Moria, Lorien) the actors plays very well and the music is an enchantment. Peter Jackson has cut many parts of the book but there was no other choice and finally, he did good choices.
I only see three problems : The fightings are tow fast for us to see anything and the relationships between members of the Fellowship are not shown. For example the friendship between Gimli and Legolas is visible only at the end when Gimli gives Legolas a small smile. That's a pity as this friendship is really important in the next books. Last, I think that the Lorien part is really too short, no mention of Gimli problems with entering the Forest, no mention of Galadriel magical ring (one of the Three Rings of Elves.
But making a movie about Tolkien books is such a challenge, and "The Fellowship of the Ring" made me dream during 3 hours. I can't wait to go and see it again.
Peter Jackson is really worthy of respect.
And now waiting for the DVD release and the second part in December 2002.
